Omoluabi:Self Actualization and Communal Responsibility
We learned the story of Iwa in this part of the class. It was a good story on character and wisdom. Withoout character you are nothing. Character is who you are and what you are made out of. Before the biblical sense there were gods and goddesses that were characters. We learned about the principals of the godds and goddesses. We learned what they believed in and personally I thought that if they had all of these expectations, then alot of people would be sinners in their eyes. I learned that a man of wisdom is a man of wealth. As long as you have wisdom then you can do and be anything. In the story of Iwa, we learned that she was the daughter of a chief and that she was wisdom. We need to take care of our iwa because that is the only thing that we have to own that will never get taken away from you. Even if we dont do anything with our lives we need our education and our "Iwa". To be honest, this story taught me alot about my character and why I need to stay true to myself. Education is the best thing that you can have. It is the most important thing that we can have. It is a privelage and we should take advantage of it.
